remembering moments

Remembering ‘Moments’

When I woke u that morning
I felt the briskly air
Teasing my hair
The sun kissing my eyes……as if giving me a hint,
That something”special “is on my way!
“A SECIAL MOMENT”
The dawn had a new horizon
The dusk an innocent vision
The breeze touched me
Whispering something…..’Hey! Who’s he?
I wondered the entire day
Why am I feeling so gay?
There was a search in my eyes
Enigma, in my mind
‘Ecstasy’, for sure, if I may not lie;
Again I wondered is it because of the fest
Patted on my head, grinned and said,”
May be it’s just a heavenly test?
But soon I realized, as the night arrived
The’ dark’ had never been so enlightened
The road was never so shortened
It was by default that “we” had to walk
Perhaps,
An acquaintance, but not after that talk
……for me
That was the first day we met
Not as someone’s friend
But as two lonely, wondering souls!
It it’s not an adulation, but he deserves an articulation
He is a rock star to everyone, may be even a member of a rock band to the world?
He is a bag of golden jokes, to make the world’s most moron person smile
But for me
He is a silent, serene, simple guy
Who acts like a spark, in that dreadful plight!
Like an encouraging smile, in that dreadful right
He is like the vision of the blind, sound of the deaf also the voice of dumb
Although, I discovered him while walking…
Feeling as if it’s my journey to the heavenly abode
He was full of warmth in that bickering cold
And off course like a drop of water for my scotching heating thoughts
A feel of being secure,
a very loving “dear friend”
So, the moment was not special,
That person made it so!
Thanks

remembering motherland

In my childhood dreams……..

My inner soul screams

“I can’t remember my motherland”

In the morning dawn, when I feel the briskly air….

When the scorching sun bends my back

And then I search for the snow sack

I have just one answer….

“I can’t remember my motherland”

In the’ good morning’ wishes

When I search for that affectionate “namaskar”

In the enchanting prayers of shivratri till navreh

There are words screeching ‘happy new year’

And I am in search of “navreh mubarak”

I have just one answer…..

“I can’t remember my motherland”

In the ancient temples when I search for kheer bhawani

Or when in McDonald’s I miss the dumaloo

When wandering on the m.g.road I search for that ‘lal chowk’

I have just one answer…..

“I can’t remember my motherland”

In search for heaters when I feel the kangri

Or while wearing all those branded cardigans

I miss my very own “pheran”

When in the’ rat race’ of today, I search for the peace and pace of life…

I have just one answer………

“I can’t remember my motherland”

But yes

In the killing of thousands

In the suicide bombers,

In the terrorism of today,

In the suffering of mankind,

In the tears of mothers

“I can remember my motherland”

“I can remember my motherland”
